of the world

There seems to be no shortage of things to do or places to visit -- the dilemma becomes what to do first?
"Hike in the woods, visit goats, sail on a Tall Ship. Look for Picasso in the Museum of Modern Art; look for clusters of monarch butterflies in winter eucalyptus. See Chinese acrobats and 'Kiss Me, Kate' and a Mark Morris dance based on a typewriter. Take homeschooling classes in Spanish, drama, carpentry. Ignore your husband when he asks, "If you're home-schoolers, why are you never home?"
-Excerpt from The Never-At-Home Homeschoolers by Patricia Zaballos :: Mothering magazine May/June 2008 issue.
Patricia also blogs at Wonder Farm and is a California writer, former school teacher and homeschooling mom of three who hopes to "..help cultivate wonder in my kids. I’d like them to look at the world around them and be both awed and confounded, and utterly compelled to know more. And if nothing else, just watching my kids learn and grow prompts a lot of wonder in me."
